How to Vectorize Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead

In this video tutorial, I’m going to show you how to draw Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The end result will be a scalable vector image. To see what the difference is between a Vector and a Raster image, click on my infographic here. I have also done a version with Daryl Dixon / Norman Reedus, which is only black and white. You can do this effect on any photograph you want, your baby, your husband, or your pet.

You can apply these vectors to almost anything such as a painting, wall art, or wall decals.

Watch how I do this below.
Step 1: Open the photograph in Adobe Photoshop and convert it to grayscale.
Step 2: Go to Filter / Filter Gallery / Artistic / Cut Out. Select a simple level setting and save the image.
Step 3. Open that saved image in Adobe Illustrator and trace it with the pen tool.
