Photoshop Tutorial: How to Change Dress Colour

In this Photoshop video tutorial, I will show you how to change a dress colour that Kate Beckinsale is wearing from a pink beige to a turquoise blue. Follow the same steps as I did in the video tutorial featuring Emma Watson’s eye colour.

  1. Create a duplicate layer. This is good incase you make a mistake and don’t want to revert. And also good if you want to change the eye colour later on.
  2. Pick a colour.
  3. Go to the brush tool. Make sure that under brush settings/ shape dynamics / size jitter and minimum diameter is set to 100% as well as smoothing is checked.
  4. Under brush mode at the top, select color as the mode and make the opacity anywhere between 40 – 60%.
  5. COLOUR!

Changing Dress to Yet Another Colour

If  you decide to change the dress colour, you can do so very easily after you have isolated that dress layer in Photoshop. Follow the rest of my tutorial below which shows you how to isolate the dress and play with colour using the various Photoshop tools such as Hue/Saturation, Color Balance etc.
